The official responsibilities and duties entrusted to the Katsina State Climate Change Secretariat through the Katsina Green Growth Agenda (KAGGA).

Primary Mandate

The Katsina State Climate Change Secretariat is mandated to address climate challenges and promote sustainable development through the implementation of the Katsina Green Growth Agenda (KAGGA), facilitating green growth initiatives, and fostering collaboration between government, private sector, and communities for climate resilience.

Established by Katsina State Government - KAGGA launched April 2025

Renewable Energy Leadership

Deploy solar mini-grids to electrify 500 rural communities by 2030, reducing energy poverty and carbon emissions.

Transform forest products and waste into high-value goods, powered by a ₦50 billion Green Investment Fund.

Develop and implement evidence-based climate policies that mainstream environmental considerations across all sectors.
